Are you sure? I haven’t had time to play the full game (all of these FM6 posts are making it unbearable) but when I played the demo the AI certainly was affected by puddles, almost to the point of it being hilarious.

Cherry man 1 and SVTyler’s drivatar’s just glided over the puddles like they were nothing. I was following SVTyler in the starting grid, and all of a sudden a wild puddle shows up. He’s not affected, I am.

I had one in an RX7 spin on the first turn of Silverstone and he took out about 15 of the 24 cars on track. It would have been pretty hilarious if I wasn’t involved
